What is in E-Liquid?
E - Liquid uses several main ingredients to create smooth flavor and large vapor clouds:
- PG (Propylene Glycol)
- VG (Vegetable Glycerin) or both at the same time.
- Water Based Flavorings (Natural or Artificial)
- Small amounts of distilled water are often used to adjust viscosity if an E-juice would otherwise be too thick.
What is PG or Propylene Glycol?
Propylene Glycol is used in many food products to keep products moist and to carry flavor.
A combined base of PG/VG blend is thicker and smoother than 100% PG base.
Propylene Glycol is nontoxic and GRAS (Generally Recognized as Safe) by the US Govt.
Our E-Liquids have mixes containing 60/40 VG/PG and are slightly thicker than most E-juices
PG and VG are combined with natural or artificial flavors to create tasty flavors of E-Liquid.
What is VG or Vegetable Glycerin?
USP Vegetable Glycerin is a plant based liquid often made from the soy plant.
VG is sweet tasting.
100% VG base is very thick and can be too thick for many vaping devices.
Aqueous VG is VG that has been thinned to have a similar viscosity to Propylene Glycol.
A combined PG/VG blend is recommended.
Vegetable Glycerin is nontoxic and GRAS (Generally Recognized as Safe) by the US Govt.
Non Nicotine E-Liquid?
A lot of people who vape are people who have given up smoking and prefer to ween themselves off of nicotine gradually but then find that they actually enjoy vaping for the different flavors that they can enjoy without eating mountains of food.
It is often the case that people who quit smoking try to find a substitution for smoking cigarettes, consequently they find themselves consuming more food than they really need to.
Vaping can provide that escape from smoking, giving the users flavors that they can now taste since their taste buds wake up after quitting smoking, but they do not have the guilt of gaining the extra calories that eating food would create.
This makes vaping, lowering nicotine and still enjoying all the flavors that they enjoy very user friendly in a fashion that doesn't harm others, but also gives them the freedom to completely kick the habit all together if they choose to.
E-Liquid is a combination of 3 or 4 liquid substances that is generally considered a safer alternative to smoking. There is ongoing research into the side effect of vaping to discover if it is actually a bad habit to pick up, however when you consider the risk factors that involve smoking it does appear to be considerably less of a risk to an individual’s health.
